Tell Us Jai Glindeman Doesn’t Surf Like A Young Joel Parko

You might remember Jai Glindeman from last year’s Stab Innocents project. 

He was the one with long hair, an ultra-stylish cutback, and (unfortunately) a broken toe. Jai also hit the reef a disproportionate number of times compared to his peers, which would have been concerning if it wasn’t so damn funny. 

Since that trip, Jai’s wounds have healed and his surfing has improved significantly. He’s both grown-up and filled-in, thus amplifying his already seamless technique.

After watching Jai’s most recent output, which was filmed during the east coast’s recent run of swell, our suspicions have been confirmed: Jai is Australia’s greatest U18 talent today. Not only that, but he surfs a helluva lot like a young Joel Parko. 

Whether Jai, like Joel, decides to chase a World Title or simply surf for the love of it, we couldn’t care less. As long as we get to come along for the ride.
