What’s The Best Surfboard You’ve Ridden This Year?

We posted this questionaire a few weeks before our annual Audience Survey. They are two seperate surveys — and this one is much shorter. Some of you may have already taken this. Most of you have not.

Surfboards are a centerpiece of our lives — if only in the metaphysical form.

We talk about the hits too much, but we have Stab in the Dark (watch here), Electric Acid (coming soon!), Joyride, and a zillion stories on site focusing on the boards of surfers both everyday and elite.

But there’s only so much testing we can do. Only so many designs we can declare the best that year. So, we wanted to hear from you in granular detail. What are you riding? And more importantly, what are you loving?

The goal of this survey is to figure out which singular surfboard model connects for you and see how different board models trend around different parts of the world. It’s a flawed science, we understand*, but asking our entire audience to share what board has worked best for them in the past 12 or so months is fascinating to us surf dorks (if it’s three years old, that’s fine too).

We appreciate your help and we’ll start crunching the numbers — keep an eye out for the full article in the near future. Also, so this isn’t skewed by surfboard brands or individuals trying to sway results, we need you to upload a photo of your favorite board.
