Reminder: This Is What Supertubos Is Supposed To Look Like

Seven minutes of Charly Q and William Alliotti getting exceptionally slotted.

The first day of Portuguese CT competition was politely described as ‘middling.’

The forecast looks to offer little hope, with gale force winds currently bludgeoning the coast and few windows for surfable waves in the foreseeable future.

Thus, the competition may be moved to the wedge just up the beach.

Per Pedro Ramos:

“Much more sheltered than Supertubos, Molhe Leste needs a bigger, long-period swell to start working, preferably from the West or Southwest, with ideal winds ranging anywhere from North to East. At the time of publishing, a 14ft swell at 14s is expected for Sunday. Significant downsides might include a strong breeze from the West and a 10ft tide variation due to a new moon on the 10th.”

So, since you probably won’t be feasting your eyes upon many live-fed super-tubes this week, we figured we’d share Charly Quivront’s newest clip — filmed by Peyton Willard and edited by Simon Levalois-Bazer — to remind you of what Peniche can offer.

“With the ‘Where’s Charly’ clips, we’re just trying to be in a good moment, in a good place and just document,” Charly told us a few months ago. “There’s not too much pressure, we just want to make some quality clips.”

“Simon is such a hard worker, he’s been doing great things. He’s passionate and he’s got a core vibe. He knows every clip that comes out and remembers the name and the music. He’s really good at what he does.”
