Bruce and Fox – it’s official
Y’may remember three weeks ago, Stab reported that Bruce Irons had split with long-time sponsor, Volcom. After nearly 20 years with the brand, Bruce and the Stone parted ways so that, despite their good run together, the two might go their separate paths. In that article, Stab also hinted that Bruce was rumoured to have signed with Fox. In fact, if you saw anything from the Eddie ceremony, Bruce was already rolling with a Fox jersey and sticker. But now, it’s now official. “I have been friends with Pete Fox for many years and have always been a fan of Fox,” said Bruce. “It’s unreal to be part of such a diverse team of world class athletes. I’m excited about a fresh start and big things to come.” Enich Harris, Global VP of Marketing at the company, was also thrilled by the new addition. “I could not be happier to have Bruce join the Fox family,” he said. “He is one of the most naturally gifted and exciting surfers in the world and does everything with style and flair. It’s Bruce’s raw edge that fits Fox perfectly. This is part of our broad and long term plan for Fox surf.” Read the original story on Bruce’s split with Volcom, here.
