Chris Ward, Off The Wall, Hawaii
February is a good time to be in Hawaii. The buzz, the crowds, the scene, the lenses, the vibe… it’s all wildly toned-down in comparison with the November to January stretch. QS events have started to fire up in Australia, and Snapper starts in a minute, so the majority of competitive surfers have headed for Honolulu International. And, many photographers with them. Those who are still hanging around are those who live there, or those who don’t have competitive commitments, and especially the latter who have a special love for the place and spend as much time there as possible. Like, Chris Ward, pictured here at Off The Wall, shot by a photographer who lives on the North Shore, being Laserwolf. Keep your eyes peeled for Wardo’s point-of-view clip, hopefully popping up in your Instagram feed soon.
