They Nearly Lost A Leg For This Product Shoot

Warning: Slowtide x New Balance’s latest collection is dangerously cool.

Slowtide is the undisputed king of the collaborative towel.

A quick scroll through the ‘collaborations’ tab on their website is all but guaranteed to find you adding more than one product to your cart. From beers to bands to many a charitable endeavor, Slowtide has more flavors than Haagen Dazs with no signs of stopping, which brings us today’s release of their latest (and potentially greatest) collaborative effort with New Balance.

While Gen-Zers may remember New Balance as being predominately worn by their high school gym coach, the global athletic behemoth has skyrocketed back to forefront of the sneaker world. Recently their patented ‘N’ has graced the feet of the world’s biggest culture shifters from Lil Uzi Vert to Kaia Gerber, with GQ UK claiming just yesterday that the storied brand has ‘the sneaker of summer’. Founded in 1906, you don’t stay in business for 115 years without knowing a thing or two about making quality products, which thankfully for you, is exactly what we have here.

While Slowtide x New Balance includes an iteration of Slowtide’s 100% cotton beach towel (with added phone pocket to combat sand) the two took it a step further with this latest collection creating a sneaker tailor-made for summer beach days. Utilizing New Balance’s AM574 silhouette, this sneaker includes Indigo Dyed details, vegetable-tanned leather, and a nautical lace saver making this the perfect shoe for those who are constantly on the run… to their next session, that is.

The slides and blanket utilize the same deep, Hawaiian blue present in the jaws-dropping campaign they shot for the collection as well. While these products are great for protecting one’s feet and skin against all summer has to throw at it (hot asphalt, ow), we don’t recommend using them to outrun the talent in the above photos.
