SurfStitch‘s ‘Behind The Brand’ isn’t for the surf porn seeker, more for those interested in inspecting the cogs of the machine that keeps our industry ticking. The system that not only brings you hardware and apparel for function and fashion but supports dearly its athletes, ambassadors and worker bees alike. And after all, to many, working in surf can be a dream gig.

For this episode we’re at Oakley HQ in St Kilda in Melbourne, Victoria, where the eyewear icon employs about 80 heads across its various divisions. Taking a tour with Training Manager Boyd Wilson you’ll be guided through their quarters including impressively slick workspaces and a ‘breakout space’ that seems like a decent room for procrastination. Questions do arise however as to whether the DJ got the call up exclusively ahead of this shoot? And that halfpipe? A thrilling OH&S nightmare!
