Julian Wilson’s Twin Pipe Training

Yesterday JS Industries unveiled their new twin, the Black Baron. They shared a little story with us about Parko riding one from Supertubes to the sand, but as some readers protested, there’s no proof without footage. 

Now this isn’t quite the desired footage of Parko at Jeffreys, but it is some credible evidence that the twin goes damn well. 

JS told us it’s a twin that merges performance with speed; and based on the above, alongside some early feedback, it’s looking like a solid theory.

So damn true in fact we wouldn’t be surprised if Julian opted for one the next time he was forced to surf shitty comp conditions – we’re looking at you Snapper. 

Christmas is only a few weeks round the bend, and what better way to spoil yourself with one of these; buying gifts for others is overrated anyway.

Additionally, you can run your eyes over the pair of rudders Jdub has fixed to the underside of the board. They’re called the FCS II Power Twin Fins and they’re built with increased surface area to prevent premature release and hold firm when you throw the full brunt of your bodyweight into a turn.
