Does Anyone Have A Wider Variety Of Tube Stalls Than Mason Ho?
You know its summer when the the first Ala Moana Bowls edit drops.
South swell season is upon us, which for those lucky enough to call the North Shore of Oahu home, means making the annual pilgrimage to the island’s South Shore for surf.
A journey he knows all too well, Mason was overjoyed to realize that it is indeed summer, and yes, Ala Moana was indeed breaking. It wasn’t quite in six-foot-cave territory, but there were more than enough playful lefthanders to host Mason, Mike, and Derek Ho along with Nathan Fletcher and Flynn Novak.
Whether in his backyard on Oahu or some random island in the middle of the Mediterranean, give Mason a day’s worth of turquoise wedges and you’re in for an unparalleled lesson on tube stalls.
Clocking a nearly five-hour session, watch as Mason bends, twists, and contorts his body to max out his time behind the curtain. Who know’s what he’s doing back there?
