Friday Night Stills From Globe’s “Cult of Freedom: The Taj Part” Party In Santa Monica.

It’s hard to understand anyone’s desire to drink a nine dollar beer out of their shoe. It makes little sense. But, on Friday night at the Bungalow in Santa Monica, making sense just didn’t for a group of just graduated UCLA students in Hawaiian shirts with Mad Huey disposition – who proceeded to pour their alcoholic bubble water into their empty heels and chant each other into a wet sole. 

The (sort of) premiere for Globe and Joe G’s “Cult of Freedom: The Taj Part”, shone on Friday. People watched. People drank. People put on their collared T-shirts and tapped into their worst behavior. 

The party made for a dusty Saturday morning, and in surf films, love and war, there’s not much more you can ask for.
