A Towel For Brooklyn And The Beach
Meet the Slowtide x Kevin Lyons’ imaginary monsters in “Beach Brigade”.
Slowtide continues to spice up one of life’s necessities: the towel. In essence, their version of a towel is a canvas, and through it, they bring on prominent artists and photographers to showcase their work across the fibers.
For their Spring 19 line, Slowtide’s teamed up with New York-based artist Kevin Lyons. Mr. Lyons has served as Creative Director for brands such as Nike, Converse, Urban Outfitters and Design Director for Stussy worldwide and Art Director for Spike Jonze’s Girl Skateboards. Mega-festival and shows like Coachella, Pow! Wow!, Milan Design Week and more have commissioned Kevin to do murals of mostly friendly monsters.
His art is like a Saturday morning cartoon, and this fruity little number he produced for Slowtide we particularly dig.
