A Band Stab Digs: Wild Honey
When it drips, just hold out your hand.
It’s a song about “faces glued to smartphones, asses stuck to sofas, and people focusing more on digital life than actual real life experiences,” (ironic if you’re pinching around on your device right now). Regardless, this is the soundtrack to your weekend. Jump in the wagon with psych-pop outfit Wild Honey as they burn up the east coast highway during their tour with fellow Sydney rockers The Delta Riggs. There’s bucketloads of that warm and fuzzy analog nostalgia; VHS, film, tape, or whatever, you’ll dig it.
Truth is the latest single from the boys and the second track on their debut self-titled EP. Frontman Moore recorded the EP in his bedroom, an impressive feat for those aware of what’s involved. They have the release streaming freely over here, if you’re liking what you’re hearing. For those really feeling it (and in the Sydney proximity), the boys take the stage at Brighton Up Bar this evening. Details, tickets and assorted collateral for that shindig are right here:
