You Don’t Need Tubes To Make A Worthy Edit
Just take Chippa Wilson, Oscar Langburn and Robbie Rickard to NZ and garnish to taste!
Stab digs what Adelio is about; they’re understated, caring less about making noise in the industry and more about keeping bodies in cold water for longer.
Season after season the suit makers just quietly go about their business, making super high quality neoprene skins and dropping edits with their exceptionally talented roster.
Recently Stab took one of their flagship suits to Tasmania to test drive. Pitched against some of the industry’s finest like Rip Curl, O’Neill and the Bong, The Connor, held its own in warmth and flex, whilst taking extra browny points in the aesthetics department for its minimalist design.
Back to the program at hand. What we have up top is the result of a recent team excursion to New Zealand with Chippa Wilson, teen style-master, Oscar Langburn and a mulleted power surfer by the name of Robbie Rickard.
Chipp’s role in this clip is unsurprisingly impactful, there’s plenty of huge leaps and various trickery. Robbie Rickard came along for one of our Summer Sessions tours and we’re into his rail-heavy approach.
Oscar Langburn on the other hand is the next big thing in aesthetically pleasing surfing. He’s not hopping out on the shoulder looking to spin off any end section that presents itself, instead working on form in and around the pocket, every change of direction looks considered and controlled. Aspiration for the window-winders among us.
None of the three find any notable time under the lip during the four and a half minute Sojourn feature. There’s no crystal cylinders, no dreamy days. It’s New Zealand, where the beaches are constantly battered by huge Southern Ocean swells, the banks shifting and flakey – but the team certainly made use of what was presented.
Hit the triangle and see for yourself.
