Every summer, the New Jersey surfer works 70-hour weeks in some tourism-related industry, likely accruing 80% of their annual income in those three sweltering months.
Due to this cycle, along with the paper-flat Atlantic between June and August, the New Jersey surfer’s summer is incredibly benign. However, come fall and winter, their efforts are returned in the form of five-to-fifteen incredible days of tubes.
