Watch: More Freesurfing From The Gold Coast
Episode two of Beach Chair, in which Ross Williams is confirmed as John Florence’s coach, and more.
Confirmed: Ross Williams is indeed coaching John Florence. In episode two of Beach Chair 2017 – Stab and Corona‘s curation of the peripheral action at the Quiksilver Pro, Gold Coast – we find Ross testing boards with Mr Florence down at Duranbah in the lead-up to his first world tour event of 2017. And despite Dooma Fahrenfort’s suggestion that the reigning world champ never wins the first event of the year… John looks immaculate. And with Ross in his corner? Sheesh. Not only that, we find Mick Fanning breezing through a few sheets of shade, as well as inspired aggression from Zeke Lau, soulful feels from Steph Gilmore, some rookie hotdogging, and more.
