It’s a wonderful experience to open YouTube during lunchtime and spot that little red JJF flag hiding in the recently uploaded section. The excitement can only be matched by the rush of finding a crumpled-up twenty-dollar bill in the back pocket of your favorite slacks.
John Florence’s 19-minute blessing is LE VIEUX MONDE EN ROUGE, which translates to The Old World in Red. The footage was pulled from the archives of the European leg of the 2017 WCT, which is the year John took home his second and most recent world title.
Cameos in the Hurley-heavy, black-and-white short film include Kolohe Andino, Koa Smith, and Ross Williams.
