Think You Surf More Than Kolohe?
The night before filming for our annual Surf100 at Lower Trestles, our Editor in Kief Ashton Goggans interviewed all three participants. As a modest production assistant, I bore witness to the subsequent conversations. While there were many highlights, one moment in particular stood out. When asking Kolohe how much he surfed, Brother replied, “I don’t think anyone surfs as much as me.” Part 2 of Kolohe’s new Youtube series ‘On The Side’ finds Brother surfing in and around his hometown of San Clemente. Kolohe’s affinity for the Lowers left has grown considerably over the course of his extended staycation, culminating in the adobo-spiced combo at 2:33. We can’t say for certain who surfs the most (Italo Ferreira and Ricky Schaeffer would certainly have dogs in that race), but we certainly aren’t arguing with Kolohe.
