The East Coast Strikes Back!
Allow Bo Raynor’s ‘Recently’ to remind you there are waves outside of the Pacific.
The world’s been hyper-focused on the Pacific’s fruitful La Niña season, and Bo Raynor doesn’t mind one bit.
The North Carolina local we dubbed as having ‘The Most Southern Name In Existence’ last summer is back in his latest edit, ‘Recently’. While today most people may hear ‘Outer Banks’ and think of the non-critically acclaimed Netflix original, we think of short period, high powered peaks littered up and down a coast in which you can get one of the best Southern biscuits of your life.
Bo’s surfing is strong, particularly at 3:55 where he forces a blow tail in the trough of a dumpy shore break section. And how stoked must Billabong be on the clip at 2:27? Never have I seen a wetsuit blend so seamlessly with the color scheme of what I’m assuming is a welcome sunrise on a bright Carolina day.
