Michael February In Mexico Is Smoother Than Your Friday Night Libation
Watch a cruisey South African jive on a cute, wonky pointbreak.
When we get a blip in our inbox from Doomsday Fahrenfort, the manager of Michael Feb with an accompanying Vimeo link, we plug in and watch. Even if the body of the message says, “Below is a little edit from a recent trip Mikey did down to Salina Cruz. Not the best waves but it’s MFeb, so does that really matter?”
Mr. February was put on this earth to ride a surfboard. He swirls with enviable elegance. And watching him surf this wonky, sub-par (for Salina Cruz standards) pointbreak is something we’ll never get sick of viewing. It’s the knock-knee wraps to discofloats and tube glides. Add the smooth crooning of a Nina Simone track, and we call “Mexico” two minutes well spent.
Toss this on.
You, unless you’re a spiteful sonofabitch, won’t be disappointed.
