Watch: The Very Best Of Young Gun, Kael Walsh
Western Australia’s next big export, post-mining boom.
Surfing will progress, it’s inevitable. Fast forward twenty years, or even ten, pro surfing will be unrecognisable. Majority of the top 34 will have slipped into the shade (excluding Kelly perhaps), their fire smothered by the vibrant groms and rookies of today. The webcast will feature a fresh set of faces. A bright new cast of stars to dazzle, entertain and create their own forms of controversy. Just who’ll be calling out the “tennis tour”, swearing at judges or stomping the first double twist in a jersey is yet to be seen, though together with Quiksilver, we’ve been working to find out. Welcome back to Young Guns, you’ve tuned in just in time for the main event.
Before the final eight go toe to toe for the title, we thought you’d like to get to know them a little better. So, here’s a punchy reel and a string of questions to break the ice.
Kael Walsh has had the fine opportunity to shape his game in waves of severity, like North Point, and as a result he’s another Young Gun vet with a golden ticket to Indonesia. He likes all the XXL things in life, from tubes to aerials. A favourite in this eight horse race and one of the fortunate groms who didn’t need to travel to compile a world class edit. We’ll allow his winning reel to do the talking.
“The best sessions always have to be the clips shot at home!” He told Stab. “It was shot over the last six months, with help from different filmers.”
