Just a stone’s throw from their previous Ventura habitation.

“A big part of why I wanted to do this was to have events, show films, and play music,” said Dane Reynolds, in our nine minute mini-doco on Chapter 11’s first surf shop. “I want to bring a cultural aspect to the surf community here. Hopefully it becomes sort of a cultural pillar for surfing in Ventura.”

Wandering into the humble storefront on any given day, patrons can expect to be bashfully greeted by one of the most influential, recognizable surfers of all time. Dane Reynolds, a man who single-handedly transformed the clothing, playlists, and taste of an entire generation, often spends his days clerking behind the register, screenprinting tees and selling Former + Ch11 merch.

Less than a year out from that initial film, the Chapter 11 team have just moved down the block to a slightly larger spot at 83 S Palm Street — partially funded with Jake Kelleys S.U.R.F. winnings.

Per CH11:

“We’re stoked to announce that the new CH11 Headqaurters & Former Flagship Store is officially open for business! We had a long week on the road premiering films but now we’re back and locked in. Cruise on by and hangout, we up and runnin’.

Open Monday through Sunday
– 11am to 5pm everyday (except holidays)

We’re releasing a new line of clothings that’ll be available online and in store tomorrow am too. Thanks to everyone who came together and made this place possible, happy holidays!”

“I’d like to thank my sponsor, Dane.”
