If You’re Gunna Go Signature, Go Machado
Mob’s new fins are a thing of beauty.
There’s a stigma surrounding quads.
Somewhere along the path to enlightenment someone sewed the seeds of them corrupting your style, or only working in tubes, but in reality, it’s folly. Quads work in/on everything, especially in/on fishes, as demonstrated by Rob Machado on his new creation, the Seaside, plugged with his signature Futures quad set.

Not much to fault here in terms of aesthetics.
If you’re goofy and you don’t have an enduring crush on Mob then there’s something wrong with you. In fact, you could even go as far as saying that he’s an integral piece of the puzzle that constitutes what we now (fairly) universally consider as the modern, stylish way to operate a surfboard. If you’re a sound-minded Machado disciple then the good news is that, whilst surfing like him may always elude you, you can flash a bit of plastic and get all his signature gear.

Once you get locked into a serious Machado collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can…
There’s a guilty pleasure of matching signature crafts with signature fins, but often you’re sacrificing practicality for a sleek-looking race car – not here though. If you’re going to delve into the signature market, then Machado, a gent in the backend of his career who’s looking to experiment with designs that make the everyday fun, is the perfect guru to follow. The Rob Machado quad set are a new edition to the Futures stable, and have been designed specifically to compliment the Seaside. They’re intended for everyday use (yes, we know that Mob surfs his at Chopes, but let’s be realistic), made from honeycomb construction, and feature a “cosmic inner graphic,” which can’t hurt at all.

C’est manifique.
