Like all other men on the world tour, Taj Burrow’s been digging some time at home between the Billabong Pipe Masters and the Quiksilver Pro, Snapper Rocks. It’s a two-and-a-half month gap between events, a perfect stint for TB to relax at his semi-new pad in WA, unwind after a year on tour, then start training and prepping for another one. Armed with a new bag of Mayhem clubs, including a Taj x Whiplash and his new model, The Beach Buggy, as well as his ever-present trainer Johnny Gannon, 2013 will be just as big for Taj as 2012 was (he finished sixth on the world tour). Taj won Snapper last year, as well as in 2010 and 2001, and will light up the point again come March 2. But for now, he’s content throwing heat and scoring around home.
