Mitch Coleborn, Pacific Dream, Cloudbreak
Mitch Coleborn is no stranger to Cloudbreak and that experience was very obvious in the Sunny Coaster’s performance yesterday. After a horror start, the Australian mounted a spectacular comeback racking up the day’s highest combined total to beat Kelly Slater in round one. “I got that one 9-something and it really turned the heat around for me. Once I pulled in, I knew it was going to happen and I couldn’t wipe the smile off of my face after I came out.” Not only did he better Kelly but had the audacity to pull a casual slouch stance on the wave of the heat.
