Bubba Wright is big. He’s so big he’d slap you if you called him Bubba. But, with size comes potential, both good and bad. Let your size keep you on the face until you’re bored, or, do as Mikey’s done, and turn that air game of yours into something scary. Inspired by others of the capital T frame (think Dane Reynolds, Jay Davies, Jordy Smith and brother, O), Mikey’s moved past the flicks and into the airways of solid frame flight. Captured here by the darling of surf photography, Peter Boskovic. “Bosko is the first guy up in the morning calling you, letting you know what the waves are like, who’s out, and where we should go to get shit done,” says Mikey. “It can be onshore, raining, shitty and one foot and he’ll get all fired up telling me how there’s ramps out there.” By the looks of this sequence, Bosko didn’t have to stretch the truth.
