Now, this ain’t a family portrait in the traditional sense, but more a family portrait in the future of surfing sense. Josh Kerr, who is originally from the Gold Coast but now lives in California, is back in town for the Quiksilver Pro that starts at Snapper in a minute. During a surf at Duranbah with 150 close pals, Josh’s 13-year-old son, Colin, decided to take a few photos of his old man surfing for the first time. Using a 7D that Josh just bought, Colin fired off this frame with accomplished timing. Expect to see ‘Colin Kerr’ in the caption of a lot of great surf photos in the future. And expect to see his dad absolutely light up the superbank when the first siren sounds.
