A while back, when Dion Agius (pictured here) had just returned to Australia, he told Stab that he can’t stand shots of aerial maneuvers anymore if they’re not in a sequence, (reason being that nowadays too many shots reek of “Just go for it Billy, punt as high as you can and we’ll totes get a killer shot! It don’t matter if you don’t land it!”). A well-justified opinion if you’re as well-versed in aerial performance as Dion. Take this perfectly-angled f-side grab, for example; tail higher than nose, not gripped too early and not let go too late, landed on the lip and ridden away clean. Sure, not the tallest air, but damn is it textbook.
