Mark Zuckerberg Shares His Admiration For Professional Surfers
“I think Kai Lenny is magical on a foil.”
Yesterday, during an Instagram live stream with the app CEO Adam Mosseri, the Founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg brought up his interest in surfing. “I follow a lot of surfers and foilers; I’m pretty into the sport,” Zuckerberg says around the three-minute mark. Two surfers he mentioned by name were Kai Lenny and Lucas “Chumbo” Chianca.
As you may recall, this isn’t Zuckerberg’s first venture into the surf culture. A picture of him foiling in Hawaii went viral last summer as the billionaire applied just a bit too much sunscreen on his face. In the live feed above Mark, mentions that this was an ineffective tactic was used to throw off the paparazzi.
Also, it might be worth noting that Facebook signed a two-year deal in 2018, allowing them exclusive rights to the WSL’s live events— just a little fun fact for those who forgot.
