We’re Doing Something New With Our Favorite Surf Flicks
It looks like this.
A few months back, Liam O’Brien released a warning shot to the world with his Billy-Lee-Pope-edited banger, Nadir Nadir.
We couldn’t help but fawn over Liam’s surfing, referencing his Hawaii performance as such:
“While the rest of the world was sipping coffee and talkin’ ’bout ‘morning sickness’, Liam was five closeouts deep at too-big, mostly-hideous OTW. His determination finally paid off with a fluttering, seemingly unmakable bomb that somehow stayed hollow enough for an escape through the end-bowl.”
Today, we’re using ‘Nadir Nadir’ as a pilot episode of our yet-to-be-named video property, where Stab‘s newest hire qualitatively and quantitatively analyzes our preferred film offerings.
You might recognize Wet Lettuce’s sugary pipes from the Ain’t that Swell pod, or perhaps you know that scruffy head from his former self-produced show, Weak Wrap, where he performed under the alias ‘Danny Johnson’.
As if that was believable.
Anyway, leave your thoughts on the new format below, but be kind as Lettuce is a delicate green.
PS: if you’re a hot young surfer with a quality edit, send it our way and you might get this same treatment.
