One Must Keep The Nose Up On This Evil Irish Roll-In
But will our protagonist oblige?
Have you ever tried to surf in full winter gear?
We’re talking hood, boots, gloves, and 5-4-3 or thicker rubber.
It’s a real sonofabitch. You feel slow, clumsy, and detached from your limbs, making surfing not only colder and more tiring (on account of the extra weight and stiffness), but also a lot more difficult from a technical standpoint.
Pop-ups are beleaguered, turns feel (and look) ugly, and hi-fi maneuvers are all but impossible.
Air-drops too become a Herculean feat, especially when you can’t feel your homonyms of the latter.
Hit play to see if Rob Kelly (Irish by name, Hawaiian by blood, Joisey by choice!) can survive a harrowing ledge-hop on a massive reefy roller, or if all that rubber will have him greeting the nearby sea floor.
The newest Numbskulls edit comes from Ireland and it packs a punch.
