A Little Lowers Appreciation From Kolohe And Friends

Do you think Kolohe Andino is relieved or irate that Lower Trestles was stripped from the CT schedule? 

On one hand, Lowers is one of Kolohe’s favorite waves and the place where he honed his very sharp skills. On the other hand, Kolohe has never placed better than ninth at his home event. 

Perhaps for Kolohe, Lowers is best left as a training ground, test facility, and metaphorical foam-pit to practice the surfing he wants to achieve on Tour, rather than an actual competition site. He sure looks to be having a lot of fun out there sans-jersey, especially when surfing alongside his sparring partners Michael Dunphy and Kanoa Igarashi. 

Kolohe might even learn a thing or two from Dunphy’s layback hack.
