Watch: Nine Minutes Of Imported Powersurfing And Totaled Rental Cars
A missive of mayhem, courtesy of our friends from the Old World.
If you don’t know the name Guilherme Martins, you should.
The talented Portuguese filmmaker helped us on Stab Highway Europe, documented Caity Simmers’ first World Title, and contributed to Eithan Osborne’s recent film — all while working on his own projects on the side.
See: 3PodMix.
We’ve posted footage from the European underground crew before, and this one is anything but a departure from the theme. Shazam-able soundtrack, heavy footed gouges, and a bashful camaraderie reminiscent of the Chapter 11 collective.
Consisting of Yael Peña from the Canary Islands of Spain, Issam Auptel from the French Caribbean, and Diogo Martins of mainland Portugal, the 3Pod trio heads to South Africa for 9-minute missive of debauchery. Along the way, they sample J-Bay, a makeshift African safari, and some of the lesser known left points of Africa’s southern shoals.
And, on the first day of the trip, the boys nearly totaled their rental sedan — costing them a few rolls of duct tape and nearly 3000 Euro (thanks Volcom.)
They also couldn’t open the driver door the entire trip.
