An Underground Edit With Surfers You’ve Never Heard Of That You’ll Very Much Enjoy

Yes, it passes the litmus test of making you want to surf.

Narratives are nice.

Exploring ’em keeps Stab Premium ticking. But do you know what else is pretty cool?

Unapologetic surf edits.

The one embedded above caught us off guard. Though we’d heard of 3Pod, we didn’t realize just how good they were. The crew consists of Yael Peña from the Canary Islands of Spain, Issam Auptel from the French Caribbean, and Diogo Martins of mainland Portugal, though it woulda kept the thread alive if he’d been born in Madeira or the Azores.

Each of them bring something unique to the table (and not just language). Yael’s got superb technique, Diogo’s got boards that’ll make the 2000s core lord in you smile, and Issam’s got the horsepower — shades of Dane, anyone? The 3Pod Mix is also edited by the very handy Gui Martins and backed by Volcom.

Good surfing. Good waves. Good music. And that sense of extracurricular good times and camaraderie that makes surfing much more than standing up on waves. Hit play, and lock in for 14 min.
