No, this isn’t plucked from a 1984 issue of Surfer. It’s Mason Ho, this very morning, at Waimea Bay in Hawaii. “For some reason I attempted to shoot from the water at the Bay,” says the photographer of this image, Laserwolf. “It was next to impossible to keep the camera still and in focus while sitting out there on a board, dodging sets and bouncing around like a sailboat.” Applause to the Wolf for balancing moving parts so well, and even paddling out there with a housing. And even bigger props to Mason Ho for embodying absolute timeless surf stoke.
