Jeremy Flores, Saquarema swerving, Rio De Janeiro

Welcome to Saquarema, a municipality  in the state of Rio, which is actually 100 clicks east of the city and regarded as Brazil’s surfing capital. So, no surprises that they turn on a prime event every year, hosted by Quiksilver. Itaúna cleaned herself up for today’s heats, after some fairly heinous conditions yesterday (big and choppy). Nothing but five feet of clean fun today. And Jeremy Flores, pictured her, was deep in the mix. He posted an 18.30 combined total in his round of 24 heat, and obviously steams straight into the next round (ain’t there just so many heats in these primes!). Dig on the live event over here.
