You Can Now Bet On Surfing In The United States

And here’s exactly how to place a bet.

I have been dreaming of this day for a long time.

One Coolangatta evening in 2017, I drunkenly negotiated a contract to write for Stab during the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast. I knew that you could gamble on surfing in Australia, but I also knew that I could not. I am not Australian, and the betting sites there only allow you to create an account and deposit money if you have an Australian address and bank account.

One condition of my hiring was a $600 signing bonus — to be paid in the form of a gambling account that my friend would set up for me. I had a great year of betting on surfing, but ol’ buddy eventually got tired of me funneling money in and out his bank account and asked me to stop.

Fair. But sad. Very sad.

That grave injustice has finally been corrected. You can now bet on surfing in the United States of America, all thanks to the heroes at betonline.ag

Together, we can murder our bookies.

You can use betonline.ag to bet on surfing from almost anywhere — but most importantly, in the US of A.

It’s even easier for the rest of us. No VPN required, and you can make a deposit using your card of choice or bitcoin, if that’s your thing. And when (not if — when) you make some money, you’ll need to enter your basic banking info to ensure it hits your account. Or, you can get your money in the form of bitcoin.

Sound a bit sketch? It’s not. Check the reviews online. And, if it helps, I have a few friends who swear by it.

Now, here’s how this whole thing works if you’re new to betting.

At press time,John Florence is listed at +250. What that means is that, if you bet $100 and he wins, you would win $250, thus turning your $100 into $350. Sometimes you see odds that are negative, like -200. That means you’d have to bet $200 to win $100. And, yes, you can bet whatever amount you want — you don’t have to operate in multiples of 100.

Easy enough, right? Don’t worry about the math — just select your bet, enter the amount you’d like to wager, and betonline.ag will tell you exactly what you stand to make before finalizing the bet.

Now, want to get kinky?

Parlays, also known as multi-bets, allow you to rope a few outcomes into one wager. For example, you could get John John Florence and Italo Ferreira to both win their Round 1 heats, and your money compounds if you’re right. Or you can bet on six different people to all win their Round 1 heats — this is how you can turn $5 into $500. Odds on individual heats aren’t currently available on betonline.ag, but they should be before the event starts. Keep an eye out.

Oh, and then there are “If” bets. For example. IF John wins his first heat, you can set it so that a chunk of that money also rolls into Italo winning his.

It’s all super simple, and easy to get the hang of. Go on now, and make some money.

Keep an eye out for your boy Mikey C’s picks coming soon.
