A beautiful man’s name isn’t spoken, it runs off the tongue and jackknifes sans splash.

Some men tell jokes, cook, know their way around a bookshelf, open doors and are gentlemen. Those are all respectable manners in which to attract the opposite sex, however some men don’t need to adopt any of the above characteristics, because they are rolling on the fucking floor gorgeous.

In celebration of women professional surfers and the men who adorn them, we’ve hit up the ladies of the gentlemen for a few cutesie words and their favorite photos of their boys (what lies beneath is for the most part handpicked by the gals).

Gentlemen and ladies, welcome to Stab’s loud and proud Best Guys Club. We believe beauty resides in all genders and should be lauded in thumb scrolls and pixels!

Bear with us, we’re gonna tell a few love stories.

CourtneyB

This Best Guy, Cortney Brown, is the husband of Best Gals Club mainstay, Miss Imogen Caldwell. Cortney Brown is a Western Australian hunk of man that even Michelangelo would admire. He’ll whip in at The Right with his brother Kerby. He’ll spear a tuna right in the gut. He has eyes like a wolf.

“Cortney and I have been together for five or so years now,” Imogen tells Stab. “I remember the first time I met him. It was at the Bluff. He was trying to snake me at the point. That’s when I knew I had to have him.”

“I fell in love with his unconditional caring nature and ability to turn a chaotic situation into a calm organized space. No one believes in me like he does, in his eyes there’s nothing I’m not capable of… plus, he’s a fine looking specimen!”

Colt

Colt Ward is one half of a surfing power couple. The young blonde stunner hails from San Clemente and wears his surfer girlfriend and universal heartthrob Tia Blanco well. “We’ve been together for almost six years,” Tia tells Stab. “We met in middle school when we were 13-years-old. My favorite thing about him is his green eyes!”

Joe Termini

Mr. Termini is a fashion photographer from New York. He’s also the husband of 2x World Longboard champ, and Hawaiian heartthrob, Kelia Moniz. Joe can be found in New York City and abroad occasionally galavanting with super famous friend, Justin Bieber.

JesseM

Introducing the XY portion of one of the World Tour’s finest power couple, sir Jesse Mendes. The young Brazilian is currently sitting 27th on the CT.

“Jesse and I have been together for four years,” Tati tells Stab. “We always kind of knew each other through the surf scene and then one event we started hanging and instantly became best friends. After that, we fell for each other.

“My favorite thing about Jesse is how he always makes me laugh, he’s really funny. We also have the same beliefs and morals – that goes a long way! We are good communicators, which is a key to a good relationship.”

Olamana leogram

The husband of Monyca Byrne-Wickey-Eleogram is the staple Hawaiian diet – a tan, tube packing fisherman named Olamana Eleogram. The two live a simple life, living and working on a farm, feet adorned in slippers, waves out front – never a need for neoprene. A life, which, for better or worse, ain’t bad.

“Olamana is the best guy ever,” Monyca exclaims. “He works so hard on our farm and is so generous. We fell in love surfing together I’m pretty sure. He definitely pushes me to be better and watching him surf blows my mind. Ola supports me and my career fully and I try to do the same for him. Plus, his smile just melts me.”

JackFree

Another power couple patriarch to occupy this list is Mr Jack Freestone – the ex-CT surfer, father and man of the woman with the world’s most famous bottom turn, Alana Blanchard.

Jack qualified for the CT in 2016, then again in 2017, but subsequently fell off. In December 2017, Jack and Alana had a baby boy, Banks. We haven’t seen much of Jack outside of Billabong’s “Life’s Better in Boardshorts” advertisements as he’s been grinding out events on the QS. He’s currently sitting at #5 following his second place finish at The Ballito Pro. A few more good results may solidify the man from Tweeds Head a spot back on Tour.

Thomas

This clean-cut marble slab of a man is the boyfriend of Women’s world number two, the beautiful Lakey Peterson.

Mr Allan enjoys spending his time outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, snowboarding, diving, and the man can gouge his rail.

Tom is 28. He’s from Bells Beach and works as a Dr of Osteopathy. As Lakey tells Stab that, “…Pretty much means a chiropractor and physical therapist all in one. He just finished eight years of study so we’re very excited he’s done and can come on the road with me a bit more.

“I met Tom while I was competing at Bells five years ago. I had lost in the contest early and a mutual friend of ours set us up. After that, we didn’t see each other for seven months until he met me in Hawaii that winter. From there, the rest is history!”

Woody

Woody is a charming young gent from North NSW, Australia. He’s a filmer, surfs at a QS level (although doesn’t compete) and is the long-term boyfriend of Stab’s perennial muse, Miss Sage Erickson. In the world of the CT he’s most adored – you’ll be hard placed to meet a professional surfer/filmer/commentator with a bad thing to say about dear Jacob. He enjoys a pint, is undeniably handsome, and likely surfs better than you.
