Some ‘Sliced’ Style We Dig (PT IV)

Care of Surfstitch, Dion Agius dropped Sliced (Pudding) a few weeks back, a digital short by Toby Cregan. It starred, of course, Dion himself, along with friends Craig Anderson and Creed McTaggart. It was a very good watch, about as good as lo-fi digital shorts get, and Dion’s raw surfing housed in Toby’s raw editing felt like watching a rough diamond sparkle on the roof of a cave. Dion’s bent is not just above the lip of a wave, but also in his dry land game, which features many feels towards finely cut threads and luxe products. Some of his, and our, current favourites lie below. Call it a guest editor’s choice, a Sliced Pudding-themed selection, or whatever else you want; All we know is these wares tick boxes. **** Globe Stubby Cruiser (Seafoam Green) If this isn’t the right mix of everything you want in a cruiser then we don’t know what is. For a shoe brand, Globe have a surprisingly strong skateboard game. The Stubby is like a Dumpster Diver – playful, looks a little funky but still loveable, and real easy to throw around. Breezing down to the corner store never looked (or felt) better. Buy Globe Stubby Cruiser here. **** Poler Two Man Tent (Grey Burnt Orange) What, haven’t heard of #campvibes? Surprising if yes. This mightn’t be the most inconspicuous-looking temporary bedroom, but since when is that any fun? This’ll fit you and your gal (or pal), is held up by lightweight but tough aluminium poles and hosts a small eye in the fly for checking the weather. Kicking goals in the Great Outdoors, yeah? Buy Poler Two Man Tent here. **** Bellroy Passport Sleeve (Black) Travel, and anything that evokes a thought of it, is of interest. If you’re going international, a passport is, literally, the most important thing you have – so keep it goddamn safe. With this. Bellroy’s Passport sleeve. The vegetable tanned cow leather ain’t failing you and the mini pen inside ain’t keeping you in any lines to fill out immigration cards. Move smart, kid. Buy Bellroy Passport Sleeve here. **** Globe Crusade Hi Shoe (Black/Black) There’s really nothing wrong here. No room for error. A lightweight high top with a vulcanised sole (more slimmed down than Chuck Taylors) plus pig skin heel lining, and in that combo everybody’s kinky for right now; black on black. The matte black Audi of footwear, we’re saying. Buy Globe Crusade Hi Shoe here. **** Epokhe Renaca Sunglasses (Black Matte) There has never been, and shall never be, a time in the history of human existence when a pair of black sunglasses in wayfarer shape will not be precious, crucial, and perfect. Think that’s dramatic? Wait til you peer over the rim of these at someone. Grrr! Throw some scratch resistant, 100 percent UV protection Carl Zeiss lenses in there and, oh, honey. Buy Epokhe Renaca Sunglasses here.
