To put it mildly, I f*cking love this bikini.

Style: Salty Crew Tandem Black Reversible Bikini Top & Tandem Black Reversible Bottom

Color: Black

Price: $55, $55

And as someone who’s never really trusted the stringy, stretchy pieces of fabric touted as being ‘inspired by surfing’, that’s saying a lot. So often, the dainty things fall off, get blasted off, or simply move around as much (or more than) you do, essentially failing to do the one job they’re meant to. Not so with Salty Crew Women’s latest answer to my woe-begotten prayers of someone making a bikini that you don’t have to babysit. Enter, the Tandem Blac Reversible Bikini.

Top: The flattering scoop neck of the Tandem top offers generous coverage without feeling sports bra-esque, while an adjustable tie-back guarantees custom comfort with every wear. A switchable option from criss-cross to straight straps adds to the appeal of this classic (for a reason).

Bottoms: The snug fit of these high-rise bottoms ensures that inadvertent falls (you would never) and duck diving pose no problems whatsoever. And the cheeky, high-rise fit, actually adds to their feeling of high functionality, keeping everything together and looking good (in the water, and in life).

Favorite Features:

  • All-around, a great design for surfing or any movement-heavy water activity
  • A criss-cross strap or straight strap option is a thoughtful touch
  • Reversibility always earns extra brownie points from this girl scout
  • The high-waisted fit feels both functional and flattering

Overall: In a sentence, I’ve never felt more comfortable surfing in a bikini. The Tandem bikini set is an incredibly practical, comfortable, and cute bikini not just for surfing, but for any water-based activity you may find yourself a part of. The benevolent design decision to opt for double-sided fabric not only adds a sense of security but makes you feel held (isn’t that alone worth the cost?) whilst also looking stylish. 11/10.

Note: Cori is 5’7, 120 lb., wearing a size Small top and bottoms.
