This week’s hesitant participant for Now… This is Dylan Graves, master of all waves that some refer to as “weird.” Since Dylan and I are both fiercely competing in Stab High Costa Rica, I was able to conduct this interrogation in person. It’s harder to ask such ridiculous questions face to face, but as captain of all things silly, I must fulfill my civic duties.

Scroll down below, and let’s get weird.

Think you could take me in a fight?

I don’t know. You look like you have a pretty low center of gravity, and I suck at fighting. I think it would be a fair fight.

My and my friends flexing our low centers of gravity.

Worst airport?

We only visited San Diego and Houston. I’d have to go with Houston.

What’s the coldest spot you surfed for weird waves season 3?

Lake Tahoe.

You ever stop and think, “I wish I was surfing normal waves.”

No, it’s the opposite for me. It’s cool to see what oddities are out there.

Odd indeed. Photos supplied by Vans.

Your hair and mustache combo is sick; it kind of makes you look like an ancient Chinese emperor. Do you know karate?

I was a yellow belt in Taekwondo at one stage in my life. I never made it past yellow 2.

Will you be using the yellow belt for our fight?

Yeah, maybe I’ll just hit you with it, hahaha.

Who is the last person on the Stab High Costa Rica trip you’d want to be stuck on a deserted island with?

Probably you.

Dylan yelling at me for eating a weeks supply of food.

What kind of toothpaste are you using?

I have one of those travel bottles of Colgate, gets the job done.

First celebrity crush? Mine was Ryan Seacrest.

The Spice Girls. All of them.

Who do you think is going to win Stab High Costa Rica?

For the Ladybirds, I think Erin Brooks is going to win.

I hope Shama and Mauro tie for first; they’re my boys.
