NOW Premiere
The labours of Chris ‘Chippa’ Wilson and filmmaker Riley Blakeway’s last six months were shown to the world on friday night. Now, an Analog moving picture, premiered at the National Grid gallery in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Analog tricked-out the car park with a movie screen (quite a big one, big enough for all to see), bar (buckets of Corona and Canadian Club) and wall decorations (photos from the boys’ travels during the filming of the, er… film). Constant deliveries of Crust pizza kept the rumble outta e’rbody’s stomachs. Many a brew was swilled, and many a slice munched. Nightfall. Some heart-felt albeit difficult-to-hear speeches. Then… kapow! Chippa went nuts. Totally nuts. And the crowd followed suit. An awful lotta “Yew!”s and “Yeah Chippa!”s. Some severe combo’s, the likes o’ which have never been seen before, no exaggeration. Credits rolled and things quickly regressed to decadence. The bar ran dry. The beat slowed down and e’rbody revealed their inner-ghetto. The crowd disbanded and awayed to after-parties of all variety. Now‘ll be attached to the November issue of Stab and will undoubtedly blow minds. Panama, Mexico, Bali, New Zealand, California and a refreshingly-void-of-synthesizer soundtrack to boot. Andrew Doheny, Dillon Perillo, Dion Agius, Ben Godwin and Thom Pringle all make appearances and of course the man himself, Chippa. So get at it. – Elliot Struck All photos courtesy Life Without Andy.
