Celebrating Australia’s Long Tradition Of World Class Female Surfers
Layne Beachley and Pam Burridge honored at Sally Fitz’s black tie affair.
Saturday, several generations of female surfers gathered for a black tie affair, put on by the Sally Fitzgibbons Foundation—which works “to inspire our next generation of kids to live active and healthy lives,” offering nutrition and exercise education and programs to Australian Youth.
The event was held to honor two of Australia’s female surfing icons, Pam Burridge—one of the sport’s female trailblazers, who first began competing in 1977, and won a World Title in 1990—and 7x World Champ, Layne Beachley.
