Joel Parkinson On Why Gabby Medina’s The Best Surfer He’s Laid Eyes On

Parko and Ronnie Blakey dial up Jed and Vaughan for this episode of the world’s* best podcast.

Surely we don’t need to remind you what Ain’t That Swell is. I’d never jumped upon the podcast bandwagon, that was, until my earholes were graced by the presence of Jed and Vaughan’s absurdist musings a couple of years back.

Honestly, why would you waste your time listening to some well-read intellectual when you can tune into these two?

Jed and Vaughan got back to basics with only the two of them in the studio; but hey, it’s 2018, and differing opinions are only a phone call away. This time the boys enlisted fellow Swellian, Joel Parkinson – fresh out of Kelly’s pond – to discuss the pros and cons of the event, as well as why Gabby Medina is the best surfer to set feet to wax.

They also dialled up full time Swellian (and part time Wozzle commentator), Ronnie Blakey, for his takes on the event.

Among all this there’s the usual instalments featuring, Phone Zone, Finger Buns and a discussion of gender equality in surfing (for better or worse).

It’s a two hour plus dosage this time, so you might need to break off a slither and take it one hit at a time. Either way, you won’t regret it.
