Miley Cyrus Asks Malia Ward To Star In The Flaming Lips’ New Music Video

Remember the paint app? For the old Windows, well, it might be still on the new windows. But we’re pretentious and use Macs, so in our little Venice office we wouldn’t know of its continued existence–we could Google it, but we didn’t. That’s what this Flaming Lips music video starring our dear Malia Ward seems to be made solely using throwback animation from Windows Paint. 

Here’s Malia in another strange Flaming Lips music video, but the Flaming Lips are weird, they’ve built their careers off of not using jelly, and battling pink robots. Wayne Coyne’s (the singer/songwriter) Instagram will invite you to drop acid and dance like Indians to Ghostland Observatory and the man’s home is a psychedelic wonderland (see below). 

Malia’s good friend, the one and only Miley Cyrus got her into this video where Malia stars as the centrepiece. “Miley asked me if I wanted to do it,” Malia tells Stab. “It was so fun, it only took like 20 minutes to film!” Being a Flaming Lips fan myself, I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this single. However, the Flaming Lips are weird and long live weird.
