With a little help from Mikey February’s long time sponsor (and long time Stab partners) Raen, we’re releasing a bespoke colorway of Mikey’s signature ‘Kwela’ sunglasses to commemorate his EAST debut.

If you’re not challenging for a title, professional surfing is essentially a game of making the surfing lifestyle look dreamy, and with a little help of his backers (particularly Vans and Raen), nobody does it better than Mikey February. And those are some coattails we don’t mind riding.

The body is a signature black-ish base, but considering this is EAST we had to throw some color into the mix too. The ‘Dune’ tint lenses will have you seeing the whole world in from a better viewpoint: rose-tinted, optimistic, borderline-psychedelic.

Projects like EAST don’t come together by themselves (you try and get 17 boards shaped, glassed and delivered on time, and that’s before we even get to the surfing part) so it’s nice to commemorate them with a signature piece.
