Watch: An Interview With A Band Stab Digs, Verge Collection

This weekend marks the first stop of Stab and Summer Bright’s latest Summer Sessions tour – which is entirely free and featuring premium entertainment from Alex Lahey and The Belligerents.  

Ahead of the upcoming weekend, Life Without Andy spoke to Ben Arnold, the voice behind the Australiana slackers, Verge Collection; where they chat about everything from Perth’s over-ocean sunsets, car-sleeping etiquette and his inability to hit the high notes of Alex Lahey.

On a side note, the group’s bogan-pop banger, ‘Our Place’ has been on high rotation since Toby Cregan included it in one of our Real Axe film episodes.

What can we expect at the show? “A lot of awkward silence, just like this interview!”

Alex Lahey, The Belligerents and local supports, Verge Collection will be gracing the stage at OBH Hotel in Cottesloe this Saturday afternoon. So if you’re around town and fancy a couple of beers along with some honest Aussie music, then you know where to be. 

Entry will cost you absolutely nothing, there will be ice-cold bevvy’s on hand and you’ll be able to dip out for a swim pre, post or even smack bang in the middle of a set. We’ve brought Harry Bryant out to entertain in and around the shows (and in the water – the surf’s been exceptional!). We’ve got our lenses on REC so expect an edit recapping the good times.

And don’t worry if you don’t reside on the Western side of the southern continent. The first weekend of March, Summer Sessions will zip suitcases, charge awkwardly late through Perth Airport and fly back east for the rest of the shows.
