Hinata Aizawa, 24, grew up in Burleigh Heads, but his name gives away his Japanese heritage. In the clip above, he clocks a full minute of uninterrupted submersion at a fickle Rivermouth in a region of Japan that gave the world udon noodles and the 88-temple pilgrimage — a long, gruelling trek for spiritual redemption.

His new edit ‘Cone Compass’ also checks off Ireland, Indo, West Aus — anywhere, really, with a high probability of bodily harm.
