Watch: The Session That Nearly De-Nosed A Jersey Tube Jockey
A PSA to take cover when you fall.
A couple weeks back you, read the scintillating tale of a Jersey Man, Andrew Gesler, who nearly lost his nose in a tube-riding incident.
To reminisce:
“While I was laying with my back on the sand, I felt something tomahawk me in the face, and I knew my nose was broken. First I checked my vision, and it was all good. Then I had to duck dive a wave, and I felt my nose moving in a way it shouldn’t. At the same time, a hot rush of blood started running down my face, so I started screaming, “Help! I broke my nose!'”
A minor surgery and innumerable stitches later, Andrew is on his way to a full recovery.
The video above details the session where the de-nosing almost occurred. We should warn you that between grinding, sandbar tubes, there are also some graphic scenes of the whole nose situation.
If nothing else, take this post as a useful reminder to cover your head when you fall. You just never know where that damn board might be.
