Watch a Kelly Slater-approved bodyboarding film

No, we’re not a bodyboarding website, but we do appreciate bravery and well-ridden waves. And so, too, does Kelly Slater – he recently posted a link to the above film on his personal Facebook, saying: “Boogers charge. And find better waves. Fuck.” That’s respect where due. The edit itself is a quarter-hour epic starring bodyboarder Lewy Finnegan. Lewy, world number five on the bodyboarding tour, is respected by the creme of WA surfing (Taj Burrow, Jay Davies, Dino Adrian, etc) and tows with John John Florence when he’s in town. This digital short opens with some amazing above-lip work at an incredible wedge, and progresses all the way through to some of the wildest chunks you’ve seen in a while. And hey, even if you can’t get your head around watching the other waveriding code – the cinematography is fucking amazing.
