Another Anthology Of Eloquent Movements By Torren Martyn In Morocco
Smooth like butter made from grass-fed cow milk etc.
The name Torren Martyn was unfamiliar to many people for a long time.
His edit Ocean Motion disrupted the high-performance ecosystem in which my YouTube algorithm thrived. His surfing was crisp, and that song… Sugar Hives by Calvin Love.
For the next few weeks, I would push the limits of the stock speakers on my heinous Mazda hatchback on my way to surf. A slow song, at first, but halfway through, a switch flips and the tempo builds without warning.
Around this point, I’d find myself doing just under 80mph in a 45, rushing to a North Florida crumble that certainly wasn’t worth losing my license over. I didn’t care, though—all I could think about was Martyn’s loose approach to surfing and how desperately I wanted to re-enact it.
Since that edit, I’ve not hesitated to click anything with Torren’s name on or around it.
Which brings us to Episode 2 of ‘Lost Track Atlantic.’ It’s fucking good, and the journey through Morocco is well documented. A form of storytelling that only a few are capable of doing well.
Hats off to Torren and the one responsible for the vessel he tangos above, Simon Jones. The amount of speed and control Martyn operates with is undeniably impressive. Someone has to credit the shaper, and if you won’t take my word for it, her’s should suffice.
